Yet the game is sitting at 78 on Metacritic (which the game's wiki pointing to the PSP version, saying it had a generally positive reception). Looking further into it, apparently this is a direct port of the PS2 version which also had this awful lag and it's only compounded the problem since (being an emulation of an emulation). Considering the kind of game Metal Slug is and the precision required for this chaotic side scrolling shooter, the game is absurdly unplayable.
